About Us
Boulder Valley Gifted and Talented (BVGT) was established in 2007 to assist and support gifted individuals in developing their talents, strengths, and abilities. BVGT offers frequent educational programs for parents and teachers of gifted children. BVGT advocates steadfastly for educational support and programming for gifted students by increasing awareness of the nature and needs of gifted student.
What is BVGT?
Boulder Valley Gifted and Talented (BVGT) is a group of parents and educators who advocate for the academic and affective needs of gifted and talented individuals.
We are a local affiliate of the Colorado Association of Gifted and Talented (CAGT) with members statewide. CAGT sponsors an annual conference for parents and educators as well as an annual Parent Institute and an annual Legislative Day for students.
CAGT is the state affiliate of the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC), with a membership of over 8,000 nationwide. Nationally and internationally known experts in the field of gifted education present research and expertise to parents, teachers, and administrators. NAGC provides guidelines and standards for exemplary gifted programs.
