The Mackintosh Academy task force, exploring the desirability and feasibility of opening a Mackintosh campus in Boulder, met on June 16th.  This task force is comprised of board members, Head of School, faculty, and parents of Mackintosh Academy.  They explored this proposal at length and in detail addressing the question - Why should Mackintosh consider this opportunity and what potential risks are inherent in such a venture, and what are the clear needs for a gifted school in the Boulder community?  The task force has taken a preliminary look at resource needs, costs, and the impact on their head of school, the Mackintosh staff, the Board and the community as a whole.  It was the consensus of the Task Force that this was an endeavor well worth exploring and they should move forward to an in-depth phase of research and due diligence.
